Myths are prevalent in Caeruleus Aether, and many of the cultures presented here are steeped in it and those myths have somehow expanded beyond the borders of their world and onto many others.  As many of you know, the main characters  are usually gods or supernatural heroes.  They are considered sacred stories, and as such they are often endorsed by rulers and priests and closely linked to religion.

In the society in which it is told, a myth is usually regarded as a true account of the distant past, usually before recorded history.  They usually take place in a primordial age, when the world had not yet achieved its current form, and explain how the world was created and how customs, institutions and taboos were established.

Legends that span many worlds are also found.  Like myths, legends are stories that are traditionally considered true, but are set in a more recent time, when the world was not much different than it is now.

Below you will find many myths and legends found throughout the worlds.
